The BarCARES program provides up to three free visits each year which may be used by an attorney and law school students, faculty or staff (or any immediate family members).
The North Carolina Bar Association covers the program's administrative cost. Local bar groups and law schools that opt into a BarCARES program have several payment options.
If you choose to continue after the program visits are used, every effort will be made for you to see a counselor who is also an approved provider under your group insurance.
If you choose not to continue with the same counselor, the program will help you locate an appropriate person.
