Past-President Eugene C. Pridgen, who served as the 116th president of the North Carolin in 2010-11, serves as the administrative partner for K&L Gates in Charlotte. He joined Kennedy Covington Lobdell & Hickman in 1978 and has remained with the firm, which combined with K&L Gates in 2008, throughout most of his career. He served as executive vice president and general counsel of Glenayre Technologies from 1997-99.

Eugene Pridgen focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, corporate law and international transactions. He serves as primary outside counsel to private and public companies and has represented clients in numerous merger and acquisition and other corporate transactions.

Representative Experience

  • Provides U.S. general counsel services for a publicly traded U.K. company and its U.S. subsidiaries that manufacture filtration materials and equipment for fuel cell materials.
  • Represented purchaser in leveraged recapitalization of plastics company.
  • Represented purchaser in purchase of snack food company.
  • Represented purchaser in purchase of telecommunications device manufacturer through a reverse cash merger.
  • Represented the selling shareholders in the sale of stock of an insurance company.
