DIAZ, WYNN CLEAR NEXT-TO-LAST HURDLE IN CONFIRMATION PROCESS
Fourth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals nominees Albert Diaz of the Special N.C. Superior Court for Complex Business Cases and James Wynn of the N.C. Court of Appeals cleared a major hurdle last week when their nominations were reported out of the Senate Judiciary Committee. HOROWITZ JOINS N.C. BAR CENTER STAFF AS NEW DIRECTOR OF NC LEAP
Mary Anson Horowitz is the new director of NC LEAP (North Carolina Lawyers Entrepreneurs Assistance Program). Licensed in North Carolina and Georgia, Horowitz previously served as an associate attorney with Gabriela J. Matthews & Associates in Durham and as a staff and contract attorney with the DeKalb County (Ga.) Child Advocacy Center. She is a graduate of California Western School of Law in San Diego and is currently completing her Master of Laws in taxation at the University of Alabama School of Law. PEERS INTERVENE IN RESIGNATION OF MECKLENBURG COUNTY JUDGE
