Elon University School of Law
The Elon University School of Law is located in Greensboro, North Carolina. Elon University, located in Alamance County in the town of Elon, opened the law school opened in 2006.
George R. Johnson Jr. serves as dean of the law school, a position he assumed in February 2009. A member of the founding law school faculty, he also served as associate dean of academic affairs and interim dean.
The Elon University School of Law received provisional accreditation from the American Bar Association in 2008.
Students attending the Elon University School of Law are involved in the NCBA through our Law Student Division, which is free to join. Members of the Law Student Division enjoy benefits such as:

- One free membership to any of our 28 specialty sections; and
- Subscriptions to North Carolina Lawyer magazine, e-bar (weekly electronic newsletter), the Law Student Bulletin and the Young Lawyers Division’s newsletter, The Advocate.
Student members are also invited to attend CLE programs for only $25, which includes materials as well as focused networking opportunities. Additional opportunities are provided through the Young Lawyers Division, including volunteer service with YLD committees.
