DURHAM – Martin Fitzgerald Broadway, 34, died on March 7, 2007, at Duke University Medical Center. He was born April 28, 1972 in Charlotte to Mrs. Priscilla M. Broadway and the late Charles Broadway.

Broadway graduated from Olympic High School in 1990 and went on to graduate with a bachelor of arts degree in Political Science from North Carolina Central University; he also received his juris doctor from NCCU School of Law.

Broadway started his career in information technology before attending law school. He was employed with the Durham County Public Defenders Office before accepting a position in private practice with the Law Offices of James “Butch” Williams, LLC, in Durham.

Broadway was a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, North Carolina State Bar and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving mother, Priscilla M. Broadway; brother, Marco Broadway; and sister, Madia Broadway (Charlotte).

He was blessed to be joined in holy matrimony to the former Contina Clark (Durham). Nephews, Joey Banda and Deandrez Fisher (Charlotte), aunts, uncles and a host of extended family and friends also survive him.
