Career Services Hosts Teleseminar Oct. 8
Article Date: Tuesday, September 22, 2009
The North Carolina Bar Association, in conjunction with the Career Services program, will host a one-hour teleseminar on Thursday, Oct. 8, from noon to 1 p.m.
The title of the program is “Perspectives on Law Firm Recruiting: Sea Change or Changing Tides.” Participation in the free program is only available by phone and space is limited; contact Amy Kemple (akemple@ncbar.org) at the N.C. Bar Center to register.
Program details and speakers are denoted below.
The teleseminar is geared specifically toward those looking for jobs in firms of any size, and is moderated by Camille Stell from Lawyers Mutual.
“We will hear from representatives from large, medium and small firms about how their recruiting techniques have changed due to the economy,” states Whitney von Haam, director of membership, “as well as from a law school career services director who will discuss how on-campus recruiting has changed and the ripple effect that will take place.
“The program is not for CLE credit, but it will be a very informative hour that can help lawyers better market themselves to firms of any size.”
