Members of the Latino Affairs Committee of the North Carolina Bar
Association joined recently with members of the Hispanic National
Bar Association for a law student networking event hosted by the
Research Triangle Parkoffice of Womble Carlyle Sandridge &
Rice.
The purpose of the Nov. 12 event was to help establish
relationships with the Latino law students in this state.
North Carolina recruits many talented Latino law students, event
organizers noted, but unfortunately many do not remain here after
graduation. The Latino Affairs Committee and the HNBA are making a
concerted effort to keep these talented students here.
Law students from Campbell, Duke and UNC attended the event. The
students remarked that this event truly showed the commitment in
helping build relationships with students and members of the legal
community.
Students had the opportunity to network with attorneys from various
areas and practices of the legal community. Members from private
firms, solo practitioners and in-house counsel attended the event.
