NCBA Flips Switch On New Web Site Friday
Article Date: Tuesday, November 17, 2009
The North Carolina Bar Association will flip the switch on its new Web site
this Friday, Nov. 20, completing a yearlong redesign process spearheaded by
members of the NCBA’s Information Technology Department.
Notification of the switch is being provided to members this week via e-bar
today and in a special broadcast e-mail Thursday so as to make them aware of the
new Web site and many new and exciting features that will accompany it.
In addition, it is also important for members to realize that some links
saved from within the current NCBA Web site will not transfer over to the new
site. The NCBA apologies for any confusion this may cause during the interim
period.
As with the current NCBA site, there are numerous avenues through which
members will be able to provide feedback ("NCBA Feedback" link at bottom of
page) and view frequently asked questions, or FAQs.
The latest version of www.ncbar.org has
been designed to make a vast array of information and products accessible to our
members and the public at large. In addition, extensive attention has been
devoted to maintaining a site that utilizes the latest in online security
applications.
Redesign goals included improving search results and e-commerce transactions,
expanded use of video, enhanced browsing and searching of CLE programs and
publications, and numerous upgrades to section and division Web sites that will
makes those components more “site specific.”
