N.C. lawyers will give freely of their time and talent on Friday, March 6, as participants in the North Carolina Bar Association’s second annual Statewide Service Day.
Volunteer attorneys will provide free legal information via telephone from five call-in centers across the state from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The statewide service project coincides with the NCBA’s 4ALL campaign to provide civil legal aid to the poor.
Citizens in all 100 North Carolina counties are encouraged to participate through a network of five toll-free phone numbers directed toward call centers in Asheville, Charlotte, Greensboro, Raleigh and Wilmington.
N.C. residents who reside in the viewing area of the television stations are encouraged to access those toll-free numbers and view coverage of the event throughout the day.
Citizens in the state's easternmost counties who are not served by any of the four TV stations are encouraged to access the Wilmington call center which has been arranged specifically to serve their needs.
