Attorneys/NCBA Members Prevail In 2010 Elections

Article Date: Tuesday, November 09, 2010

More than 200 North Carolina lawyers, including 40 lawyer legislators who will serve in the General Assembly during the 2011-12 biennium, prevailed in last week's elections, according to unofficial election results that have been reviewed by the North Carolina Bar Association for recognition here and in the upcoming edition of North Carolina Lawyer.

In addition to members of the N.C. Senate and the N.C. House of Representatives, the lawyers recognized here have also been elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, the state's trial and appellate courts, and to the office of district attorney.

Every effort has been made to correctly identify attorneys and NCBA members who appear on the accompanying list; please report any oversights or corrections via e-mail to rrawlings@ncbar.org.

Also, please note that all of the results denoted here are not final. Races involving N.C. lawyers are among those that remain too close to call, including one or more that may result in a recount.
