Deadline: Monday, April 12, 2010
The Education Law Section of North Carolina Bar Association seeks nominations for the Distinguished Service Award. This award for leadership in the area of education law was established by the Education Section of the North Carolina Bar Association in 1990.
The award is for recognition of outstanding leadership by an attorney in the field of education law. The award may be given to an attorney who has a record of professional, community and personal achievement in the representation or affiliation with educational institutions, including public and private schools and colleges or universities, involvement with parents, teachers, faculty or administrators in the field of education law.
If you wish to nominate a candidate for the Distinguished Service Award [see below for listing of past Recipients], the deadline for nominations is Monday, April 12, 2010. Nominations received after Monday, April 12, 2010, will not be considered. If you have previously submitted a nomination form for a candidate who has not yet been selected as an award recipient, you may simply advise that you wish to renew the nomination and do not need to submit a new nomination form; supplemental information, if any, may be provided in that same correspondence.
The award ceremony, if a candidate is selected, will take place during the annual meeting of the Education Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association, to be held on Friday, April 23, 2010, at the N.C. Bar Center in Cary, North Carolina.
