North Hills Christian Sweeps YouTube Competition

Students from North Hills Christian School in Salisbury swept the inaugural YouTube competition sponsored by the North Carolina Bar Association Foundation and its Law-Related Advisory Committee, claiming first-place honors in the middle school and high school divisions.
The winning students and their teacher, Chris Price, were on hand to accept their honors on Friday, March 12, during an awards ceremony at the N.C. Bar Center in Cary. NCBA Past-President Charles Becton presented the awards and provided remarks at the ceremony.
Student videographers were challenged to produce videos of three to five minutes and post
them on YouTube, addressing
the theme of “North Carolina:
A Catalyst for a More Perfect Union.”

“What is it about our state,” contest instructions stated, “that embodies the ideals of our Founding Fathers?
“What is it about our state that demonstrates liberty and justice for all? What is it about North Carolina that shows how far our nation has come, and serves as a catalyst for where our nation needs to go?”
There was a tie in the middle school division between the team of Elisabeth Farmer, Kelsey Greaves, Tellor Thorne and Haley Kriminger, which submitted “Duke University”, and the team of Emily Boggs, Meta Lake, Diana Fisher and Walker Forston, which submitted “North Carolina Now Cont’d.”
Honorable mention was awarded to the North Hills team of Anna Chamberlain, Jordan Moore. John Murphy and Kristen Trivette for
“Sitting at Table.”

Couple Holding Hands.”
North Hills' Felix Frank, Nathan Wyatt and Jo Parks took second place for “
Washington DC at Night,” with classmates Dana Salmon, Abbey Cody, Harper Miller and Nigel Barrier receiving honorable mention-most creative recognition for “
BBQ Sandwich.”
