Johnston County Ask-A-Lawyer Day

Summary Date: Wednesday, May 09, 2012

On Friday, May 18, volunteer lawyers from the Johnston County Bar Association will hold public “Ask-A-Lawyer” day at the atrium area of the Johnston County Courthouse in Smithfield, North Carolina, from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m.

During this event, individuals with questions about legal issues or the legal system in general will be able to talk with lawyers on a one-on-one basis. All members of the general public are invited and encouraged to come to the event with any questions they may have.

The program is a public service of the North Carolina Bar Association and Johnston County Bar Association, and is provided at no cost to the public.

The local coordinator is Thomas S. Berkau (919-934-4634) tom@berkaulaw.com.  Media, volunteer lawyers, and members of the public can contact local coordinator directly for more information about the event. The coordinator would welcome opportunities to be interviewed or otherwise provide information to the public in the days prior to the event.

Do you know of an attorney or law firm that has been active in the community or has made significant charitable contributions? The outreach section of the NCBA website is designed to highlight these efforts. Contact Amber Smith, Assistant Director of Communications for Community Outreach and Social Media for the NCBA, at asmith@ncbar.org.
