Mentoring FAQS

Q. Who can be a Situational Mentor?

A. The Situational Mentor is an experienced attorney available to answer questions on a single topic. The attorney may volunteer to answer more than one question per month or answer questions on more than one subject.

Q. Who can be a Traditional Mentor?

A. The Traditional Mentor is an experienced attorney who is willing to provide guidance and professional support to a new lawyer. Mentors and Mentees are paired based on professional interests, career history and geographic location.

Q. Who can be a Situational Mentee?

A. The Situational Mentee is a new lawyer, who has practiced no more than 4 years, who has a single question to be submitted to an expert.

Q. What is Situational Mentorship?

A. The Situational Mentorship is a short term pairing of a mentor and mentee for the purpose of answering questions on a single topic. The pairing is made based on the experienced attorney’s areas of expertise, and the question asked by the mentee.
