Description:Some of the hottest topics during the past three years are administrative law issues. Banking, "bail-outs", and regulation of the financial industry; high unemployment and the system for making sure those among us who find themselves without a job are cared for; major changes in administrative rule making and administrative hearing procedures; and upcoming decisions regarding "fracking", the development of off shore energy and alternative energy, such as wind and solar, are among the stories that have dominated the headlines and will continue to be on the front burner. This program explores these issues which dominate the news.
In addition, the program contains a one hour presentation designed to help you identify substance abuse in others and, perhaps, yourself, and begin the process of dealing with it.
At this program:
- Hear from leading experts regarding the changes to the banking and financial industry over the past three years and hear a projection of where the industry is heading;
- Hear from leading practitioners in the area of treating substance abuse about how to identify the problem and begin to deal with it;
- Gain an understanding of practice before the Employment Security Division;
- Get up to speed with a Case Update and Legislative Update on recent developments in the Courts and at the General Assembly;
- Learn challenges facing our State in the development of natural resources in our coastal counties, such as on-shore wind, off-shore wind, and off shore drilling.
