PROPER FORMATTING IS ONLY AS TRIVIAL AS SAVING TIME, MONEY At first glance, document formatting may seem trivial, but proper formatting can save a law firm significant time and money. Poorly formatted documents are full of tabs, hard returns and manual numbering. Every time text is added or deleted, someone must remove tabs, adjust hard returns and page breaks, and manually renumber paragraphs. Well-formatted documents, however, use smart features to contain variable content and divide information into table cells so when the content of one cell changes, other cells are not affected. The result? Editing takes seconds instead of minutes. http://www.law.com/jsp/legaltechnology/pubArticleLT.jsp?id=1178269481344

NEW LEVELS OF LEADERSHIP FOR LAWYERS Leadership is an imperative. As successful attorneys and firms are rapidly learning, they can only grow their business if they are committed to a strategic course guided by a clear vision and mission, and supported by a culture of leadership. This awareness has a profound impact on how law students are taught, firms are staffed and managed and new clients are cultivated and won. The new issue of The Complete Lawyer looks at leadership: What is it? Who has it? Can it be taught and learned? To what new levels of leadership can lawyers aspire and attain? http://www.thecompletelawyer.com/volume3/issue3/index.php
