CONFIRMATION HEARINGS SET WEDNESDAY FOR REIDINGER, OSTEEN U.S. District Court nominees Martin Reidinger of Asheville and William Osteen Jr. of Greensboro are scheduled to appear today (June 20) before the Senate Judiciary Committee. The NCBA members were nominated by President Bush in January for seats on the Western (Reidinger) and Middle (Osteen) District Courts of N.C. Confirmation hearings for fellow NCBA members and District Court nominees Thomas Farr of Raleigh (Eastern District) and Thomas Schroeder of Winston-Salem (Middle District) have not been scheduled but could occur as early as next month. BAR EXAM WRITING CLINIC JULY 7 AT BAR CENTER AND CHARLOTTE LAW The NCBA will host a Bar Exam Writing Clinic on Saturday, July 7, at the N.C. Bar Center in Cary and the Charlotte School of Law. The free clinic is open to anyone who is planning to sit for the upcoming bar exam, but reservations are required. The clinic is being sponsored by the Minorities in the Profession Committee and the YLD Bar Exam Committee.
