A fitting and lasting tribute to a deceased lawyer can be made through a memorial contribution to the North Carolina Bar Association Foundation. This highly appropriate and meaningful gesture on the part of friends and associates will be felt and appreciated by the family of the deceased.
Honorariums are also a fitting way to mark a special event, holiday, birthday or anniversary of a North Carolina lawyer.
Contributions may be made to the North Carolina Bar Association Foundation, stating in whose memory or honor it is made. The family (and law firm if appropriate) will be notified that a contribution has been made and by whom, although the amount of the contribution will not be specified. Contributions to the NCBA Foundation are tax deductible.
Memorial contributions will become a part of the principal of the NCBA Foundation Endowment established in 1986. Income from the Endowment is used to fund grants that benefit both lawyers and the public. More than $2.5 million in grants have been awarded since 1988. Memorial contributions may be sent to:
