Solo & Small Firm Job Fair, sponsored in conjunction with the North Carolina Law School Consortium, matches solo and small firms with law
students interested in practicing law in a small firm in North Carolina for both clerkships and permanent positions. Firms have the opportunity
to interview for both summer clerkships and permanent positions. The job fairs are designed to enable firms to prescreen résumés and then
schedule interviews during the fairs. If your firm is interested in participating in our job fairs in the Spring, please contact Lisa Morgan at NC Central University at (919) 530-6115.
The Solo & Small Firm Resource Center also targets lawyers with
information about other NCBA programs that are available for solos and
smalls. These include:
- The Technology Assistance Program (TAP) offers NCBA members quality
legal technology consulting at reduced cost. Each consultant offers slightly
different types of services and expertise, so members are encouraged to
contact any or all three of our providers to find the consultant who best
meets the needs of your firm. Click here for more...
- The Law Practice Management Section and the General Practice, Solo
& Small Firm Section offer members a variety of materials and
programs which help smaller firms manage their limited resources and publish
quarterly newsletters offering advice on a variety of issues. Click
here to join a section.
- The NCBA's Lawyer Referral
Service received more than 50,000 calls last year and 80% were
referred to attorneys, mostly solos and smalls. This is an excellent source
of referrals and we are always in need of more attorneys to serve on the
panel.
- NCBA-member discounts and services on computerized research, overnight
delivery, telecommunications services, 401k plans and insurance programs
including health, life, property and disability.
