Wanted: Lawyers Licensed In Affected States

Article Date: 9/27/2005

The ABA Young Lawyers Division is mobilizing its Disaster Legal Services network to provide volunteer legal services to Hurricane Katrina victims in Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama.

NCBA members who are licensed to practice in any of those states are being asked to answer FEMA disaster legal services hotline calls and accept cases.

Questions may be directed to Winston-Salem attorney Craig Cannon, assistant coordinator for ABA YLD Disaster Legal Services, via phone (336-721-3694) or e-mail (CCannon@wcsr.com).

For more information on Disaster Legal Services and additional relief efforts, click here to access the special ABA Web site dedicate to Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief.
