The North Carolina Law-Related Education (LRE) Advisory Committee of the NC Bar Association is dedicated to serving the public by strengthening and building a fairer, freer, more open society. The LREAC is not only promoting the understanding and respect for the rule of law through interactive law-related and civic education programs for students, teachers and the citizenry of North Carolina, it is helping build in our children and citizens the skills needed for the 21st century.

PEOPLE: Through its statewide network of volunteer lawyers, LRE can put you in touch with an attorney in your area willing to visit your classroom or attend a career fair – just let us know the topic or ask us for suggestions, and we’ll match you up with a speaker. Our volunteers have been instrumental in providing an ever increasing repertoire of Law-Related Educational opportunities for the citizens of North Carolina.

PUBLICATIONS: LRE offers educators a wide variety of NCBA and other publications (in all media formats/printed materials, videos, audio cassettes, etc.) through its online, searchable Publications Station and several can be downloaded or ordered. LRE can also provide speakers to support these publications in your classroom.
NC Bar Association's Sections and Committees develop new publications with the LRE Department as well as offer workshops to educators and the community.
LRE also provides information to educators about non-NCBA publications and programs of interest through our WebLinks service, providing links to other law-related and civic education websites that may be useful to North Carolina educators.
