The First Place winners, Northwest Guilford High School, Greensboro will represent North Carolina at the National Finals to be held on April 25 -27, 2009; semifinals in Arlington, Va., and final round on Capitol Hill, Washington, D.C.

The Center for Civic Education The program Representative Democracy in America (RDA) was held on Friday, October 10, 2008 at Raleigh Charter High School in Raleigh from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. RDA is a partnership of three organizations that are bringing together their materials on representative democracy. The idea is to provide teachers with lots of free materials and classroom lessons to promote teaching about the United State Congress and State Legislators and the importance of the idea of representative democracy.

A Diversity in the Profession Event Eighth Grade & High School Student Law Career Fall Conference was held on Friday, October 10, 2008 at the University of North Carolina Pembroke in Pembroke, NC from 8:00 a.m. - 2:15 p.m. sponsored by the Minorities in the Profession Committee of the NCBA in cooperation with the NCBAF Law-Related Education Advisory Committee.
Attorneys Partnering for Progress in Law Education (APPLE) Conference The APPLE Conference was held on Monday, October 6, 2008 off-campus at the UNCW Executive Developement Center in Wilmington, NC sponsored by the NCBAF Law-Related Education Advisory Committee and in cooperation with the New Hanover Local Bar Association.

Teacher Institute The WTP Teacher Institute will be held on Monday, August 4 - Thursday, August 7, 2008 at James Madison's Montpelier sponsored by NCBA Foundation's Law-Related Education Advisory Committee with the Center for Civic Education & James Madison's Montpelier.
Twenty teachers will be accepted to attend this educational seminar and preference will be given to the following located in Winston-Salem/Forsyth, Davidson, Davie, Yadkin, Stokes, Surry, Rockingham and Guilford Counties.

Conducting Mock Trials (CMT) Workshop was held on Monday, December 3, 2007 at the N.C. Bar Assocition in Cary. A full-day workshop for N.C.
