Constitution Day and Citizenship Day To assist educators in preparing for Constitution Day and Citizenship Day, the Law-Related Education Department is pleased to provide the following menu of options and information available through the National Constitution Center, the Center for Civic Education, and other sources.
National Constitution Center offers resources to help you celebrate Constitution Day – the birthday of your government – featuring over 200 activities, lessons, books, DVDs and more from over 30 different providers. Click here to access their website.
Implementing Legislation Designating Sept. 17 Constitution Day and Citizenship Day In response to legislation passed by the U.S. Congress that requires educational institutions receiving federal funding to present a program pertaining to the U. S. Constitution, the Center for Civic Education has posted seven lessons on its Web site at www.civiced.org.
