Conducting Mock Trials (CMT) held on December 3, 2007 at the NC Bar Association in Cary
I had a great time yesterday and it was extremely helpful to go through the process. I want to thank you for all of your hard work and the opportunity to participate.
Have a great day! Boo

I just wanted to thank you again for yesterday. I learned so much and had such an enjoyable day. It was so well planned and well run, in spite of the no-shows. I look forward to attending future workshops, and I will do my part in passing on info to my colleagues. Please pass on my thanks to the lawyers and judges who were (also) so generous with their time and expertise yesterday. Have a wonderful holiday season.
Sincerely,

Justice Teaching Institute (JTI) held October 14-16, 2007 at the NC Bar Association in Cary
My experience last week at the Justice Teaching Institute was invaluable! Not only am I refreshed in body, but also in intellect. It was wonderful! I am looking forward to some reflective time this week-end during which I am going to plan to group some "spooky" stories that we'll be reading for Halloween. Then we're going to have trials for the accused. In the process, we'll be studying about the different types of charges that can be brought when someone is killed. (I get a classroom set of the N&O every day, so I'll have plenty of real-life examples.) I may also include some "assault" cases, depending on which short stories I choose to work with. I'm sure I'm going to want a guest speaker. When I have my plan, I'll be able to make a specific request. As you can see, I got "fed" in many ways, and I'm still digesting the experience--more later.
Thank you so much for letting me be apart of this most esteemed institute.

Thanks so much to all who were involved in giving us JTI. I have already recommended this to other law and civics teachers for whenever the next time comes around.
Again, thanks so much.

Construction Law Workshop (CLW) for Educators held on October 1, 2007 at the NC Bar Association in Cary
I found this workshop very informative but we need more time with the content area. We should stretch it out over several visits. Also include tax law for our students who plan to go into their own business. The food was great and your speakers were outstanding. Not every lawyer could be a teacher . Just as not every teacher could be a lawyer. This group did a very good job dealing with a room full of teachers knowing you were being critiqued non-stop. Thanks, I am looking forward to many years of dealing with you.

Business Law Workshop (BLW) for Educators held on May 14, 2007 at the NC Bar Association in Cary
This was a great workshop. While I am not a new teacher, I am new to Business Law. This gave me some valuable information to use in my classroom. The only problem was that it was too short. If I may, could I have a copy of the powerpoint "The Wreck of the Whaleship Essex"?
This is a great lesson.
Again, thanks for the resources, time and consideration.
