Publications

Welcome to Publications Station! Publications Station is a searchable online database providing descriptions and access information for law-related publications, resources and projects. The resources in the Publication Station have been developed by the North Carolina Bar Association as well as by outside entities.

Whether you are a classroom teacher or an attorney, Publications Station has books, brochures, lesson plans, videotapes, CDs, mock trials, moot court and other material that can support you in teaching law-related education to students. So, come on board Publications Station!

Look here to review resources of interest to educators and volunteer attorneys for use in the classroom.

We have identified some websites that may be of interest to educators for teaching law-related education.

The LRE Publications Subcommittee is Chaired by Kris Gardner and has three main objectives:

  1. Maintain Publications Station, a searchable, online database providing descriptions and ordering information for law-related publications. “Publications” include not only printed materials such as books, brochures, lesson plans, or downloadable coloring books, but also videotapes, CDs and mock trial, moot court and other projects that can supported with classroom guests.

  2. Help NC Bar Association Sections and Committees develop curriculum-friendly, classroom-ready publications and, through Publications Station, make them available to educators. One of the ways the Subcommittee aids this development is by putting Section Chairs in touch with educators who wish to serve as consultants during the project’s development.

Click here if you are an educator who wishes to volunteer as a consultant.

E-mail us here if you are an NCBA Section or Committee Chair who wishes to develop a publication.

Click here if you are an NCBA member who wishes to register an existing publication to be included in Publications Station.

  3. Provide information to educators about non-NCBA publications and programs of interest through our WebLinks service, providing links to other law-related and civic education websites that may be useful to North Carolina educators.

Click here if you would like the Subcommittee to consider posting a link to your organization’s Web site.
