ACLU OF NORTH CAROLINA COOPERATING ATTORNEYS PROGRAM
www.acluofnorthcarolina.org
The ACLU-NC Legal Foundation seeks through litigation to advance understanding and acceptance of civil liberties principles by persuading courts to recognize new legal principles; convincing courts to apply established principles widely ignored in practice; and educating the public, through publicity generated by such litigation, to appreciate the civil liberties principles involved. Our cases are handled by attorneys in private practice who donate their time pro bono to defend the Bill of Rights and corresponding provisions of the North Carolina Constitution.
