Judge Regina Parker
Regina Parker serves as Chief District Court Judge for the 2nd Judicial District (Beaufort, Hyde, Martin, Tyrrell and Washington counties). She was appointed to the court by former Governor Jim Hunt in January 2001 and has served ever since, having been named chief judge in 2018.
Parker received her undergraduate degree in criminal justice from East Carolina University in 1989 and her J.D. from the North Carolina Central University School of Law in 1992. Previous experience includes: attorney, Law Firm of Earl T. Brown, Greenville (1997-2001); partner, Smallwood Rodgers & Hayes, Windsor (1994-97); and law clerk for Judge Clifton Johnson, North Carolina Court of Appeals (1992-94).
