Legal Feeding Frenzy 2023 FAQs

Solving hunger requires teamwork and lots of it. Support the cause and volunteer at your local food bank.

LEGAL FEEDING FRENZY (#NCLFF23) is an annual joint program of the North Carolina Bar Association Young Lawyers Division and Feeding the Carolinas food banks, supported by a grant from the North Carolina Bar Foundation Endowment. The month-long food and funds drive is supported by the state’s legal community. In this friendly competition, law firms, law schools, and corporate in-house counsel organizations compete for the most donations benefitting local Feeding the Carolinas food banks. WHY? To fight hunger

North Carolina has historically been one of the hungriest states in the U.S. Before the pandemic, a reported 1.4 million North Carolinians were struggling with hunger – and, of them, 400,000 were children. Approximately 1 in 7 people and 1 in 5 children are facing hunger. The Legal Feeding Frenzy is an opportunity for the legal community to come together to make a difference in the fight against hunger.

WHO? Legal practitioners and law students/schools in North Carolina

Sole Practitioner, Small Firm, Medium Firm, Large Firm, Law School, Government/Public Interest, and Corporate/In-House Counsel compete for the most donations.
