This program provides an overview of the laws and regulations that have allowed this industry to develop at the state level, as well as a preview of developing markets that are expanding to provide accessibility to sports betting-like products nationally.
Volunteer attorneys will produce wills, health care power of attorney, durable power of attorney, and advance directive documents for first responder clients from Buncombe County. Volunteers will receive training prior to client meetings, which are scheduled at 10 a.m. and 12 noon. Estate planning experience is not required.
Volunteer attorneys will provide pro bono business law advice and counsel to small business owners and entrepreneurs clients from our partners including Prospera, CLIMB, Mountain BizWorks, ECU Small Business & Technology Development Center, FSU Fayetteville-Cumberland Regional Entrepreneur and Business Hub, and the Small Business Center Networks of Durham Technical, Western Piedmont and Forsyth Technical Community College, free of charge.
