Featured NCBA Committees

The Minorities in the Profession Committee is dedicated to promoting an increased presence of minorities in the legal profession and the ongoing education of minorities in the legal profession.
The WIP Committee serves as a resource for the NCBA by, among other things, identifying ways to encourage and maintain the active participation and advancement of women in the NCBA and the legal profession.
The SOGI Committee will work to oppose discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression and to promote the expertise and advancement of LGBTQ+ legal professionals.

Report on Relationships Between the NCBA and Systemic Racism

In 2020, the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) completed a report identifying relationships between the NCBA and systemic racism in North Carolina.
