The Filling the Justice Gap Award: Katie Riddle
Katie Riddle is a Senior Paralegal in Greensboro, NC, and an incoming fourth-year evening student at the North Carolina Central University School of Law. She has worked as a paralegal for ten years in a variety of areas, such as workers’ compensation, contract management, life insurance, and now privacy and data security. Katie has spent seven of her ten years in-house, supporting hundreds of clients with various and complex matters. Additionally, Katie is gaining experience in alternative dispute resolution practices through her work as Chief Medicaid Mediator with the North Carolina Center for Mediation and as a FINRA arbitrator. Additionally, she intends to become a Certified Mediator upon becoming eligible.
Katie spends her free time with her one-and-a-half-year-old daughter Mia, her husband Garrett, and two dogs, Layla and Nellie. She is looking forward to graduating from law school this December and getting back to a normal life with her family.
