Trey Ellis Selected as a YLD Star of the Quarter

Trey Ellis headshotTrey Ellis got involved with the NCBA Young Lawyers Division because he understood the phenomenal opportunities that the Division provides for new lawyers. Specifically, having served as an NCBA Law Student Representative during his time as a student at UNC School of Law, he got to see firsthand the unique opportunity that the NCBA YLD provides to build relationships with other law students and new legal professionals, all while serving one’s surrounding community.

Trey’s work as YLD New Lawyers in Practice Co-Chair has led to him being selected as a YLD Star of the Quarter. Trey was able to plan and participate in numerous events this quarter through his work as Co-Chair of the New Lawyers in Practice Committee.

We held events with a particular focus on our objectives as a committee: connecting new lawyers with one another, informing new lawyers about different areas of the law, and providing support and outlets for new lawyers. I really enjoyed the process of working with others to brainstorm and implement event ideas that furthered those objectives!

Trey is most excited to continue meeting and connecting with law students and new lawyers, which is an everlasting opportunity that is provided by the YLD, in the upcoming quarter. Trey encourages these new members to attend any one of the number of events that are held by the YLD and NCBA while also trying to get involved in a YLD Committee of interest to them to take full advantage of the opportunities offered.
