Legal Feeding Frenzy

Solving hunger requires teamwork and lots of it. Support the cause and volunteer at your local food bank.

LEGAL FEEDING FRENZY is an annual joint program of the North Carolina Bar Association Young Lawyers Division and Feeding the Carolinas food banks, supported by a grant from the North Carolina Bar Foundation Endowment. The month-long food and funds drive is supported by the state’s legal community. In this friendly competition, law firms, law schools, and corporate in-house counsel organizations compete for the most donations benefitting local Feeding the Carolinas food banks. WHAT IS FOOD INSECURITY? Food insecurity is having inadequate resources to acquire enough food for a healthy, active life. As of 2023, Feeding America estimated that 1 out of every 7 people in North Carolina were food insecure and that 1 in 5 children and nearly 200,000 seniors (60+) lived in food insecure households.

HOW CAN YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE? Participate in the 2026 Legal Feeding Frenzy! Volunteer with your law firm or school to donate resources, time or funds to take action against food insecurity in North Carolina.
