Legal Feeding Frenzy

Solving hunger requires teamwork and lots of it. Support the cause and volunteer at your local food bank.

LEGAL FEEDING FRENZY  is an annual joint program of the North Carolina Bar Association Young Lawyers Division and Feeding the Carolinas food banks, supported by a grant from the North Carolina Bar Foundation Endowment. The month-long food and funds drive is supported by the state’s legal community. In this friendly competition, law firms, law schools, and corporate in-house counsel organizations compete for the most donations benefitting local Feeding the Carolinas food banks. WHAT IS FOOD INSECURITY? The lack of consistent access to enough food for every person in a household to live an active, healthy lifestyle (Food and nutrition 2023). Local NC Food Banks have seen an increase up to four times the demand for food since before the pandemic (2023).

HOW CAN YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE? Participate in the 2024 Legal Feeding Frenzy! Volunteer with your law firm or school to donate resources, time or funds to take action against food insecurity in North Carolina.

“Helping those who are hungry is always important, but right now it is urgent. We in the legal community here in North Carolina can make a real impact fighting hunger in our state.” – Josh Stein, North Carolina Attorney General
