Dispute Resolution Section Collaborative Law Training Scholarship

This scholarship aims to support individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion through their activities, background, and life experiences, as well as members of groups that have been historically underrepresented in the legal profession and who are interested in the practice of dispute resolution.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Applicant must explain their commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion as described above; and
  2. Applicant must demonstrate commitment to practicing dispute resolution.

Scholarship Details

The scholarship will cover the cost of CLE registration for the NC Collaborative Law Basic Training on Thursday, June 4 at the Wake Forest School of Law. Additionally, scholarship recipients will be provided a travel reimbursement of up to $250.

Interested candidates should complete the application by Monday, May 25 at 5 p.m. We will aim to notify applicants whether they were selected to receive the scholarship by Friday, May 29.

Please submit responses to the following questions in essay format. The questions may be answered in a single essay or in multiple essays. However, the total word count for all essay responses combined should not exceed 1,000 words.

  1. Describe your commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, whether in your work, community or elsewhere.
  2. Describe why you believe you are a qualified candidate for this scholarship, including your commitment to the practice of dispute resolution.
