The Environment, Energy & Natural Resources Law Section brings together governmental, nonprofit and private environmental law practitioners, providing a forum for collegial interaction among North Carolina environmental lawyers from all three sectors. Membership is also open to nonlawyer environmental professionals and legal assistants. The section presents an environmental speaker at every council meeting, which is open to all section members. It also sponsors CLE programs and helps mold NCBA’s legislative agenda for presentation to the General Assembly.
Members receive discounted CLE opportunities, access to a members-only online community forum and invitations to networking socials, panel discussions and Lunch & Learns. The section also offers practice-specific blogs, legislative and policy updates, ethics guidance and opportunities to engage in pro bono work, providing meaningful ways to grow professionally while supporting the broader legal community.
