Insurance Law Section – Distinguished Service Award

The Insurance Law Section is seeking nominations for the Section’s Distinguished Service Award. Any section member in good standing may nominate a candidate.

Criteria For Nominee:

  • Be a currently licensed member in good standing of the North Carolina State Bar, unless retired to inactive status under honorable conditions or retired from the practice of law.
  • Be a person of high character and reputation in her/his community and in the Bar.
  • Have exhibited the utmost professionalism in the practice of law.
  • Have served on Council, one or more committees, or as an officer of the Insurance Law Section.
  • Have provided CLE services to the Insurance Law section as speaker, panelist, organizer, and/or facilitator.
  • Have provided exemplary contribution to insurance law in North Carolina.

Nomination Guidelines:
Complete the form below to nominate an individual, including a written statement describing the nominee’s practice and explaining how the nominee meets the purpose and criteria of this award, as well as at least one additional letter of support from an attorney in a different law firm than the law firm of the nominating attorney.

Please submit nominations by Thursday, December 18 at 5 p.m.
