Lawyer Referral Service
The NCBA Lawyer Referral Service matches attorneys with members of the public who seek attorney referrals via the LRS call center and web-based referral requests. LRS member attorneys agree to offer an initial 30-minute consultation for $50 for LRS-referred clients (fees beyond that may be set directly by the attorney).
Join the LRS
NC-licensed attorneys who are current members of the North Carolina Bar Association are eligible to join the LRS. You will need to submit the Member Certification Form below to complete your LRS registration.
- Membership Fees: The annual LRS membership fee is $150 and includes one broad practice panel. Additional practice panels cost $50 each. LRS members may elect to receive referrals from as many counties as they would like for no additional fee. For LRS-referred matters where an LRS member attorney collects $500 or more in client fees, the attorney will be required to remit 10% of the total fees collected back to the LRS (5% in SSI, SSDI and Workers’ Compensation matters).
- If you were previously a member of the LRS and would like to reactivate your membership, please email the LRS staff at [email protected].
