The Small Firm & Technology Section offers resources for small firms, solo attorneys and all lawyers interested in starting and running a law practice. Resources focus on technology, human resources, financial management, client development and other important topics. The section provides initiatives to enhance practice and promote professionalism, sponsors CLE programs and produces a monthly “Ask Me Anything” series and helps mold NCBA’s legislative agenda for the presentation to the General Assembly. Affiliate membership is open to nonlawyers who provide support services primarily to lawyers or law firms in North Carolina in technology, law practice administration, marketing and related areas.
Members receive discounted CLE opportunities, access to a members-only online community forum and invitations to networking socials, panel discussions and Lunch & Learns. The section also offers practice-specific blogs, legislative and policy updates, ethics guidance and opportunities to engage in pro bono work, providing meaningful ways to grow professionally while supporting the broader legal community.
