Robinson (Robby) Hassell recently received the Greensboro Bar Association’s Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his dedicated service “to the legal profession as a District and Superior Court judge, private practitioner, public defender, and advocate for justice across North Carolina.” The award was presented at the annual meeting of the GBA and 24th Judicial District Bar. Hassell is a former member of the NCBA Board of Governors and currently serves as a Regional Judicial Outreach Liaison for the ABA Judicial Division. Soni of Soni Brendle, PLLC in Charlotte has been accepted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), which “recognizes attorneys who demonstrate the highest levels of knowledge, skill, and integrity in the specialized field of family law.” Soni, who joined Andrew Brendle in the establishment of Soni Brendle in 2020, is a past chair of the NCBA Family Law Section and an N.C. Dispute Resolution Commission-Certified Family Financial and Superior Court Mediator.
