Elections, Appointments Complete 2023-24 NCBF Board

Upon completion of June 22-24 NCBA Annual Meeting and summer and organizational meetings of the NCBA Board of Governors and the NCBF Board of Directors, the 2023-24 NCBF Board of Directors is set.

Afi S. Johnson-Parris of Fox Rothschild in Greensboro and Robert H. Edmunds of Fox Rothschild in Greensboro have been elected to three-year at-large terms.

Kimberly H. Stogner of Womble Bond Dickinson in Winston-Salem will chair the NCBA/NCBF Audit & Finance Committees following her election as president-elect. She also serves on the NCBA/NCBF Executive Committees.

Additional individuals have joined the NCBF Board of Directors either by election or appointment by NCBA/NCBF President Patti Ramseur and President-elect Stogner. They are:

Linda Funke Johnson of Senter, Stephenson, Johnson in Fuquay-Varina, who has been appointed to a three-year term as chair of the NCBF Development Committee;

Judge Robert C. Hunter of Marion, who serves on the Supreme Court of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, is chairing the Senior Lawyers Division and serving on the NCBA/NCBF Executive Committees;

Jonathan Matthew Bogues of Michael Best in Durham, who is chairing the Young Lawyers Division and serving on the NCBA/NCBF Executive Committees;

Courtney Thomas of K&L Gates in Raleigh, who is serving on the NCBA/NCBF Audit & Finance Committees;

Shannon Vandiver of Shannon L. Vandiver, PLLC in Huntersville, who is serving on the NCBA/NCBF Audit & Finance Committees;

Christopher G. Browning Jr. of Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders in Raleigh, who is serving on the NCBA/NCBF Executive Committees;

Tammy Nicholson of Truist Bank in Charlotte, who is serving on the NCBA/NCBF Executive Committees; and

William A. Oden III of Ward and Smith in Wilmington, who is serving on the NCBA/NCBF Executive Committees.

Continuing their service on the NCBF Board of Directors will be Patti Ramseur, who now serves as president; Clayton Morgan, who now serves as immediate past president; Edward Griggs, who serves as chair of the Endowment Committee; Jared Smith, who serves as chair of the Programs Committee; Stuart B. Dorsett, Evan G. Lewis, Nan Hannah and Robin Stinson, who serve as at-large directors; Judge Joe Webster, Richard M. Thigpen, S. Camille Payton and Monica Webb-Shackleford, who serve on the NCBA/NCBF Executive Committees; and Alison Ashe-Card, Rebecca Smitherman, Sidney O. Minter and Ashley Rusher, who serve on the NCBA/NCBF Audit & Finance Committees.
