Elections, Appointments Complete NCBF Board

The article below has been updated as of August 2020.

Under the amended North Carolina Bar Foundation bylaws, effective June 22, 2019, the NCBF Board of Directors includes six at-large members who do not serve concurrently on the NCBA Board of Governors and chairs of the Foundation’s three standing committees. The NCBF Board of Directors also includes 17 members of the NCBA Board of Governors, as designated by their service on the Executive Committee and Audit & Finance Committee.

To establish the three-year staggered terms, the initial at-large directors are serving in pairs for terms expiring in 2020, 2021 and 2022. Each will be eligible to serve one additional three-year term. The standing committee chairs – Development, Endowment and Program Oversight – are also serving staggered terms and are eligible to serve one additional three-year term.

Upon completion of last week’s NCBA Annual Meeting and the summer and organizational meetings of the NCBA Board of Governors and the NCBF Board of Directors, the 2020-21 NCBF Board of Directors is set. Photos are included below of the Board of Directors members who are not also on the 2020-21 NCBA Board of Governors.
