MIP Committee Presents ¡Adelanté! | Moving Forward! 2024

The NCBA Minorities in the Profession (MIP) Committee presented ¡Adelanté! | Moving Forward! 2024 on Saturday, February 2, at the North Carolina Bar Center.

The annual program is designed to empower law students and young lawyers from diverse backgrounds through sessions covering topics such as building your online presence, discussions on embracing diversity, and making informed financial decisions throughout your legal career.

To that end, the following presentations were provided:

  • Building Your Digital Blueprint: Technology for Law Students, featuring Catherine Sanders Reach and Kayla Britt
  • Paving the Path: What I Wish I Knew in Law School, moderated by Diana Santos Johnson featuring panelists Niya Fonville Swint, Sidney Minter and Sylvia Novinsky
  • Constructing Diversity: Being Your Authentic Self, moderated by Learla Stefanics featuring Justice Anita Earls, Geneva Yourse, Jocelyn Mallette, and Tracy Gaskins
  • Pathways for Prosperity: Show Me the Money, moderated by Lakethia Jeffries featuring panelists Judge Ashleigh Parker, Jessica Roman, Courtney Thomas and Dr. Leketa Hawkins
