Statement on Proposed Changes to NC State Bar
As the voluntary bar association for lawyers, paralegals, and law students in our state, the mission of the North Carolina Bar Association is to serve the public and the legal profession by promoting the administration of justice and encouraging the highest standards of integrity, competence, civility, and well-being of all members of the profession. The proposals for changes to the structure and operation of the North Carolina State Bar as advanced by the State Bar Grievance Review Committee on March 24, 2026, have a direct impact on members of the NCBA and consumers of legal services. The NCBA looks forward to participating in discussions on these important matters with the General Assembly and the State Bar.
