Vice Presidents Elected, Board Nominees Announced
The NCBA Board of Governors, convening Friday, April 4, elected the following slate of nominees who will serve one-year terms as vice presidents in 2025-26: Judge David (Dink) Warren (U.S. Bankruptcy Court EDNC, Raleigh), Judge Joseph Crosswhite (N.C. Superior Court, Statesville), Chief District Court Judge Christy Wilhelm (N.C. District Court, Concord), and Dean Geoff Krouse (Associate Dean for Alumni & Development, Duke University School of Law). The Board of Governors also elected Judge Karlene Turrentine (N.C. Office of Administrative Hearings, Raleigh) who will serve a three-year term as vice president.
The Nominations Committee has also submitted the following slate of nominees for a three-year term on the Board of Governors beginning in 2025-26: Kayla Britt (N.C. Department of Justice, Raleigh), Cary Davis (Robinson Bradshaw, Charlotte), Alicia Edwards (LANC, Greensboro), William (Bain) Jones Jr. (Private Practice, Salisbury), Erin M. Locklear (Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority, Morrisville), Beth McKee (Static Control Components Inc., Sanford), and Tom Segars (Ellis Winters, Raleigh). These nominees will be submitted for election at the NCBA Annual Meeting.
Members who wish to submit additional nominations to the President should refer to Article 10.3(e)(vi)(1) of the NCBA Bylaws. Voting at the Annual Meeting shall be limited to the Nominations Committee nominees and any additional nominees submitted to the President in accordance with Article 10.3 of the NCBA Bylaws.
Larissa Mañon Mervin served as chair of the Nominations Committee, whose membership included Jonathan Bogues, Alex Dale, Judge Richard L. Doughton, E. Bradley Evans, Hilton T. Hutchens Jr., John Kelso, Catherine Lee, Caryn McNeill, and Shannon Vandiver.
