The Appellate Practice Section brings together association members who have a special interest in appellate practice, providing networking and educational opportunities and promoting excellence in North Carolina’s appellate courts.
Members receive discounted CLE opportunities, access to a members-only online community forum and invitations to networking socials, panel discussions and Lunch & Learns. The section also offers practice-specific blogs, legislative and policy updates, ethics guidance and opportunities to engage in pro bono work, providing meaningful ways to grow professionally while supporting the broader legal community.

The Appellate Practice Section is making a limited number of scholarships available to North Carolina appellate law clerks. This scholarship is open to North Carolina-based law clerks at the Supreme Court of North Carolina, the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
