The Corporate Counsel Section is limited to members employed full time or part time exclusively by a corporation; business, educational or nonprofit association; partnership; or governmental entity, and who are not employed by or associated with a private, for-profit law firm. Membership in this section provides an avenue for in-house corporate counsel and paralegals to enhance their roles and expand their capabilities within the legal profession and their respective communities. It sponsors CLE programs and helps mold NCBA’s legislative agenda for presentation to the General Assembly.
Members receive discounted CLE opportunities, access to a members-only online community forum and invitations to networking socials, panel discussions and Lunch & Learns. The section also offers practice-specific blogs, legislative and policy updates, ethics guidance and opportunities to engage in pro bono work, providing meaningful ways to grow professionally while supporting the broader legal community.
