The Litigation Section includes attorneys who devote a substantial portion of their practice to civil litigation. The council, consisting of both plaintiff and defense attorneys, seeks a balanced approach to issues affecting litigation. The section leads efforts to address changes in the rules of civil procedure, ethics rules and other statutes affecting civil litigation. It also sponsors CLE programs and helps mold NCBA’s legislative agenda for presentation to the General Assembly.
Members receive discounted CLE opportunities, access to a members-only online community forum and invitations to networking socials, panel discussions and Lunch & Learns. The section also offers practice-specific blogs, legislative and policy updates, ethics guidance and opportunities to engage in pro bono work, providing meaningful ways to grow professionally while supporting the broader legal community.
