Poster Competition – Grades K-5

Poster Contest Rules

  1. Posters must be made entirely by the contestant.
  2. Physical entries should be no smaller than 8 ½ inches by 11 inches and no larger than 14 inches by 22 inches. Participants are free to use paints, magic markers, colored pencils, or any other medium that is suitable for mailing.
  3. Computer generated posters designed by contestants are an alternative to physical posters. Digital entries must be submitted online.
  4. Each entry must have the following information attached on the back of the poster (mail-in) or included with digital submission (form) in order to be considered:
    (a) Student’s full name
    (b) Student’s grade level and age
    (c) School name and address
    (d) Poster title
    (e) Submitting teacher’s name
    (f) Submitting teacher’s email
    (g) Parent/Guardian’s name
    (h) Parent/Guardian’s email
  5. Members of the Law Day Committee (“Committee”) will review the submitted posters with the other posters in that category. Poster selection is at the sole discretion of the Committee.
  6. All entries become the property of the Young Lawyers Division of the North Carolina Bar Association. The first, second and third place posters will be returned to these three contestants by mail.

Poster Contest Prizes
1st Place – An award of recognition and $225 to the school
2nd Place – An award of recognition and $150 to the school
3rd Place – An award of recognition and $75 to the school
