Education Law Scholarship

The Section Council is pleased to offer a limited number of scholarships for law students interested in attending the 2024 Education Law Section Annual Program on Friday, April 12. ​You may read more details about the program here.

What do the scholarships cover?

The scholarships will pay the NCBA law student member registration fee for the program. Once approved for the CLE program scholarship, you are required to attend the CLE program specified on your application unless the program has been canceled. You are also required to attend by your selected method of attendance, either In-Person or via Live Webcast. If you are unable to attend that CLE program, your scholarship will be forfeited. You will be required to submit a new application for future programs.

Who is eligible for the scholarship?

Students must be current members of the NCBA Education Law Section to receive the scholarship. Non-members interested in CLE scholarships are required to apply for membership in the Education Law Section before or concurrently with submission of an application for CLE scholarships. A limited number of scholarships are available, and designees of the Section Council will select the recipients.

How do I apply for the scholarship?

Please complete the form, below, by Monday, March 18 at 5 p.m. If the application is not received by then it will not be considered. Incomplete applications received will not be reviewed.

How will I be notified?

All applicants will receive notification of scholarship determinations. Scholarship recipients will be registered by an NCBA staff member and will subsequently receive an email notification about the CLE program. Please block out your schedule for the event you are applying for so that you are ready to attend, if selected.

What about confidentiality?

Although the Education Law Section may publicize the fact that scholarships have been awarded, and the number of Scholarships so awarded, the individual identities of scholarship applicants shall remain strictly confidential, unless the recipient allows for publication.
