William W. “Bill” Pollock of Ragsdale Liggett in Raleigh has been accepted into the American Board of Trial Advocates, which is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the Seventh Amendment, which guarantees the right to civil jury trials. Membership is invitation-only and limited to lawyers who have tried a minimum of 10 civil jury trials to conclusion.
John Hairr of Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein in Charlotte has been elected chair of the North Carolina Wildlife Federation Board of Directors. Hairr has served on the board since 2013 and its Executive Committee since 2017, and chaired the Governance Committee from 2015-20. He previously served on the Catawba Lands Conservancy Board of Directors for six years.
Christopher C. Lam of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings in Charlotte has been elected as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, which is “a global honorary society that recognizes attorneys, judges, law faculty and legal scholars whose public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the highest principles of the legal profession and to the welfare of their communities.”
